Donna Marie (Rakoczy) Platt of Tipton, passed away May 16, 2019 at University of Michigan Hospital, due to a brain aneurysm. She was born March 2, 1975 in Monroe, MI, the daughter of Paul M. and Barbara E. (Gage) Rakoczy. On September 19, 1998 she married Heath P. Platt. Donna was a 1993 graduate of Clinton High School. She then continued her education at Michigan State University where she graduated 1997 with a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources. Donna then went on and earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University. She held her career in the pharmaceutical industry starting with Parke-Davis, Pfizer, Aastrom BioSciences, and United BioSource, Ann Arbor.
Donna loved horses, starting in 4H, where she made life long friends. Her love of horses carried over to her daughter, Jordan. Donna was Ashton's biggest fan when it came to his hockey and LAX games. She also loved to travel, go to the beach, snow skiing, and golf.
Donna was a very devoted wife and mother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
