In Loving Memory of Donald Pepley

On September 22, 2018, our father Donald (Jasper) Pepley unexpectedly passed away. If anyone knew Don they knew that he was first to help and last to ask, he was always helping his friends and family in any way possible. His battle started on July 26, 2018 when he was rushed to the emergency room with what he thought was a heart attack. After running tests, the doctors soon realized that it was much more serious. Our dad was diagnosed with stage 4 malignant melanoma, the cancer had spread to his neck spine, spleen, and liver. He started radiation and chemo and was determined to beat cancer. Every day he was positive, he never let cancer bring his spirits down. "I'm alright, I'm alright. Don't worry about me", he would say. On the morning of September 20, a friend stopped to see him, he found him unconscious and called for ambulance. The cancer was too much and had spread so fast that the doctors were unable to do anything for him. Less than two days later he passed.
Our dad worked hard his entire life but not a many people knew that he had been unemployed for the past 10 months. He had lost his medical coverage and exhausted unemployment benefits. The money he had he used to live a simple life. He let his life insurance lapse. The funeral costs, medical bills, and whatever else lies ahead are mounting. Our dad always helped and never asked but now we are asking. The costs are mounting and have become a burden on the people he loved the most. Any donation to help offset these costs would be greatly appreciated.
