In loving memory of Derek Hofteig

Recent update: The Coroner's report has come back and the official cause of Derek's death is substance overdose.

Hi, my name is Kim. I recently lost a friend, Derek Hofteig. Derek was a soul who had a great laugh and a great smile, and the laughter and light he brought into our world will never be forgotten. Derek loved old technology and tinkering with old systems to make them new again. I worked with Derek for many years at Tecnet. Derek was a loving, kind, funny person and willing to help others when needed. Derek had a bird named Moses which brought much joy to him.

As Derek’s friend, I want to reach out to our friends to help assist Derek’s family during this time and to help ease the financial burden. The money will assist with covering any end-of-life costs and other expenses.
