In Lieu of Flowers- Greg's Memorial

Greg Homsey had an amazing life cut short due to complications of a heart surgery. He left his behind his loving wife and 4 incredible children- Hunter (21), Sophia (19), Gabriela (16) and Mia (10). There have been a few financial issues- due to this being completley unplanned- and the payment to the funeral home is timely. We are asking, in lieu of flowers, please send a financial contribution to help with the costs of the services. Also, alongside your donation, please feel free to write a memory of your time spent with Greg. These memories will be something uplifting to read in such a hard time.

"Forever in our hearts"
Words from his daughter Sophia: "The love I had for my dad was like no other. He was truly my best friend and no one can ever take that away. My dad was one of a kind. He was the funniest, smartest, and most laid back guy you can ever meet. I'm so lucky that I got to spend 19 wonderful years with my dad. He truly had such a big impact on me and I will never ever forget him. I will never forget my dad running up and down the field yelling "pressure" or "get the ball" or even driving with me to Publix every weekend for groceries. He's my world and I'm so lucky I got to call him my dad. This was the worst week of my life and I've never been so sad or heartbroken but I know this will make me stronger. This is so surreal and I truly feel like this is a dream. I wake up every morning hoping I was dreaming. I still wait for him everyday to come home from work with a big smile on his face holding his pink coffee mug or him sitting on the couch watching the UM game yelling at the TV with crackers in his hand. My dad is my rock and I will make him proud. To the person who believed in me the most and to the best guy ever. Daddy I love you and you will be in my heart forever. I will make you proud. Thanks for the best 19 years of my life."
