Justice for sweet Bo ....

This is Bo. A sweet, affectionate, 4 year old cat with a big personatlity. He was loved more than words can say and was a very important part of our family. The majority reading this can relate to the immense, unconditional love we feel for our pets that makes our hearts expand.
Last week, Bo was abducted by one or more deranged individuals. We don't know who. We don't know why. What we do know is that they unconscionably tied this beautiful, innocent creature to a bag of rocks and threw him in a creek to drown. He was found by a concerned citizen who, on spotting him, immediately called police (thank you to this person). Since Bo was microchipped, the authorities were able to obtain our information and let us know the horrible news.
To say we are completely devastated is an understatement. Our beloved family pet was taken senselessly from us and can never be replaced. It is beyond our comprehension how anyone could do such a thing. We are heartbroken.
This is a deeply disturbing, disgusting act of violence. It is a very sick individual who could intentionally harm, let alone kill, a defenseless, non-threatening animal for no reason what so ever. It is possible this is not the first time they have done this, and frankly, even scarier to think this type of behaviour has been known to escalate. We want nothing more than to see the person(s) responsible identified and held accountable. They need help before they strike again in our community.
In attempt to find answers, we had immediately advised the SPCA Officer and the media that we, the family, would offer a $1000 reward to be disbursed to anyone who provides information that leads directly to both the arrest and conviction of those involved.
Since this story appeared on the news, we have had an outpouring of support from family, friends and members of the community who not only sent touching words of empathy and encouragement; but are just as outraged as we are by this very disturbing display of animal cruelty. Some even offered to contribute to the reward to make it as enticing as possible for someone to come forward. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such love and we thank each and every one of you.
For those wishing to donate to the reward to find Bo's killer, we have taken the initiative to set up this Go Fund Me page as a convenient place to do so. Any funds collected will be added to the original reward offered by us to up the incentive to bring justice to poor Bo. Somebody out there knows something.
Please know that any donation, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated and goes a long way to show that we animal lovers stick together and will not tolerate for this kind of behaviour in our community. To think there is someone among us capable of such an atrocity is alarming and should be taken very seriously by all.
We don't really have any specific expectations or goals from this page as we are just thankful for the generosity and support the community has already displayed. There is no pressure intended - it is completely voluntary. Any money collected will be disclosed to the Humane Society and added to the original reward.
Further, knowing the reality that it may end up that no one is ever identified and /or no viable leads within a reasonable amount of time, the donations collected from this Go Fund Me Page will then be donated to the Cambridge Humane Society to assist with their ongoing efforts against animal cruelty as well as the treatment and costs incurred in finding loving homes for any animal in need. No matter what happens, any donation will be put to a good cause.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Ontario SPCA hotline at [phone redacted] or Cambridge & District Humane Society at [phone redacted] (office).
They accept anonymous calls but we ask please - serious calls only . Any time the authorities have to waste on pranks or unproductive propaganda is time taken away from the investigation.
