<div>On March 7, we unexpectedly and tragically lost our friend and teammate, Walter Woods III. Young Walt, the only child of Walter Jr. and Sherron, was a quiet, gentle soul with hopes, dreams, and a determined spirit that was deeply nurtured by his loving parents. As friends and neighbors, we’re coming together here to create a community of comfort and love around the Woods Family by supporting them as quickly and efficiently as possible.

<div>We’ve created this GoFundMe account to assist with the daunting costs associated with laying a loved one to rest. Funds raised will help cover immediate burial services and other related costs. Many of us have been contacted by Walter’s friends, coaches, Boy Scout buddies and others, and we know this collective support can help to ease the burden of financial obligations that no family should have to face.

<div>Services to remember and honor Young Walter will be held on Saturday, March 25th at 11:15 am - viewing; 12:00 pm - service at Silver Spring United Methodist Church, 8900 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring Md 20910. Interment will immediately follow the service at Rock Creek St. Paul Cemetery. A repast will take place at the church.
