In Honor of Scott T. Davis

It’s always incredibly sad when you lose a family member or friend way before his time, but when it’s somebody like Scott Davis – your hometown All-American boy – it seems to touch everyone. So it was devastating to all of us when we found out earlier this week that Scott had passed away of a heart attack.
As things happen these days, social media allows us all to share the sad news and grieve together. So when the news of Scott’s passing started to spread among the Ypsilanti community this week, the outpouring of grief was overwhelming.
Scott was an incredible athlete who was not just good at every sport, but great, with movie-star good looks and captain of every team. Scott Davis was all of that. Everybody in Ypsilanti who knew him, loved him, many aspired to be like him.
In the spirit of all he stood for and his true love of sports we are creating this fund raising effort to honor his memory. With proceeds being given to “The Ypsilanti National Little League Softball & Baseball” where he and his brother played and his father Jim coached for many years. Funds we raise will be going to support future athletes that may not have the opportunity to play otherwise.
