In Honor of Ali Gholamrezaei

The Northwood High School community is deeply grieved to learn that we have lost a very important member of our pack. On Sunday, March 22nd, Ali Gholamrezaei, a sophomore at NHS, passed away surrounded by his loving family. Ali had recently been diagnosed with a rare blood condition called Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). Unfortunately, the disease progressed quickly for Ali and, despite aggressive treatment, his body was not able to overcome it. Losing him so quickly has come as a shock to us all. 


Ali was an integral part of the marching band and symphonic band at Northwood and had a deep love for playing his saxophone. Ali was a kind, respectful, and hard-working young man and was respected by his teachers and classmates alike. Ali hoped to one day become an airline pilot or possibly work on a cruise ship as he had a love for people and adventure. He always had a smile on his face and a bounce in his step. We will forever remember Ali in this way. 


As a way to honor Ali and support his family at this time, we have set up this GoFundMe page. Although current circumstances prevent us from being together physically to mourn the loss of Ali, our hope is that we would join together virtually using this platform to honor Ali and to show our love and support to his family. Please feel free to donate or simply leave a kind message about Ali for his family to read. Also, you can leave any notes or cards in an envelope at the NHS front office door and they will be delivered to the family.  Ali has been laid to rest at El Toro Memorial Park for those that would like to pay their respects at his burial place.
