<div>Wij komen in actie voor onderwijs in Ethiopië, voor kinderen die in noodsituaties leven. Ethiopië bevindt zich in een ernstige humanitaire crisis. De extreme droogte zorgt nu voor enorme voedseltekorten en honger. Op andere momenten in het jaar zijn het de overstromingen die de Ethiopiers teisteren. Bovenop deze rampen leidt het voortdurende gewapende conflict in het noorden van het land tot slachtoffers en vluchtelingen.

<div>Voor kinderen op de vlucht is er nauwelijks onderwijs. En dit maakt hen extra kwetsbaar. Zonder school lopen kinderen ernstige risico’s, want de kans op geweld, misbruik en verwaarlozing neemt toe. Kinderen zijn getraumatiseerd door alles wat zij meemaken. En ook de nu zo belangrijke maaltijd op school lopen kinderen mis.

<div>Wij zetten ons in voor dit goede doel om zo de situatie in Ethiopië te verbeteren. Edukans zorgt voor extra scholen en lokalen, getrainde docenten en bieden psychosociale support op school.
