IMUNE l dança, comunidade & artivismo

Olá!

Eu sou a Teresa Fabião, bailarina, educadora, pesquisadora e artivista. Danço desde os 6 anos, a dança para mim sempre foi a melhor forma de expressão. Há já algum tempo venho atuando em torno de uma dimensão social da dança, vertente desenvolvida nas investigações de Mestrado e Doutoramento no Brasil.

Em 2011 recebi o diagnóstico hiv+ e nestes 10 anos vivi várias experiências que me marcaram muito. Vivências intensas mas também muito ricas. Esta realidade aprofundou uma jornada de cura e criou igualmente uma expansão no meu caminho profissional, tornando-me consciente de que parte dessa jornada passa por ressignificar e mudar o rosto do que é viver com hiv no séc. XXI. Nos últimos anos, estou envolvida com a área do ativismo e justiça social, colaborando com diversas instituições nacionais e internacionais. Tornei-me cofundadora do VIRAL, o primeiro coletivo em Portugal que aborda a arte como um espaço de empoderamento e ressignificação do imaginário coletivo em torno do hiv/ sida.

Em Dezembro de 2020 revelei publicamente que vivia com hiv e a partir daí tudo se acelerou. Ter revelado o meu status tem me feito conectar com os meus pares e tem convocado outros processos de resiliência, pessoas que se sentem identificadas e tocadas por esta história. Esse passo levou-me também a criar a performance UNA, que acaba de estrear no maior festival teatral da África Ocidental, Festival Mindelact (Cabo Verde), e que contou com o apoio da Fundação Gulbenkian, do CAMPUS e da Fundação GDA.

À medida que fui conquistando visibilidade comecei a receber frequentemente mensagens de pessoas que me perguntam como me podem apoiar. Assim, surgiu a ideia de lançar esta Campanha de Mecenato Público, onde as pessoas podem sentir-se parte desta criação e contribuir para passarmos ao trabalho com a comunidade.

O objetivo desta Campanha é fazer o lançamento do IMUNE, reunir condições para levar estas ações a uma primeira localidade. Os fundos serão utilizados para implementar o projeto como um todo (equipe, espaços, materiais, logística) que prevê-se que seja lançado em meados de 2022.

:::: “CONTAR UMA NOVA HISTÓRIA SOBRE O HIV” ::::

IMUNE é um projeto de intervenção social itinerante que aposta numa união de forças entre a ARTE, SAÚDE e EDUCAÇÃO. Pesquisa o vírus como motor de transformação social, refletindo sobre como esses processos iluminam caminhos para o momento atual. Tem como ponto de partida específico o vírus hiv, entendido aqui como um campo de pesquisa sobre resiliência e adaptação humanas. Através de diferentes ações artístico-educativas pretende sensibilizar para o tema do hiv, e compartilhar a sabedoria de corpos positivos que há já muito tempo estão a desenvolver respostas resilientes face à incerteza.

A cada localidade serão dinamizados:

· Workshop com a comunidade local

· Palestra nas escolas + Intervenção urbana

· Espetáculo UNA + Conversa pós-espetáculo

Através deste passo iremos poder estar junto de diferentes localidades a implementar as premissas que estão na base do IMUNE:

a arte como um meio de educação para a inclusão e cidadania, uma construção de cidadania que integre também o corpo, os afetos e a sexualidade.

Estou aqui para contar uma nova história sobre o hiv, uma ressignificação que tem a arte como ponto de partida e como um meio de ultrapassar estigmas e barreiras sociais.

Realizar este projeto comunitário é um sonho que gostaria de partilhar com vocês!

TERESA FABIÃO é bailarina, educadora, pesquisadora e ativista pelos direitos humanos. Possui um percurso multifacetado movido por trânsitos: trânsitos entre várias culturas, entre diferentes linguagens corporais e entre diversos contextos do fazer-pensar dança (contexto académico, artístico e popular). Mestrado em Dança. Doutoramento em Artes Cénicas. Especialização em Terapia pelas Artes Expressivas. De 2008 a 2016, reside no Brasil onde colabora com diversos coreógrafos, bailarinos, mestres da cultura popular. Co-fundadora do VIRAL, coletivo pioneiro em Portugal que assenta nas artes performativas como um espaço de ressignificação dos imaginários relacionados ao hiv. Recebeu várias bolsas e atuou/ morou/ lecionou em Portugal, Brasil, Espanha, Itália, Colombia, Benin, Cabo Verde, EUA. Recentemente contemplada pelo Programa EYE da União Europeia, com projeto que cruza as áreas da arte, educação e saúde. Atualmente acaba de estrear a performance UNA, uma pesquisa sobre os atravessamentos entre arte & vírus e sobre a sua jornada de dez anos como mulher vivendo com hiv.

Hi! I'm Teresa Fabião, dancer, educator, researcher and artivist. I've been dancing since I was 6 years old, dancing for me has always been the best form of expression. For some time now I have been working around a social dimension of dance, an interest developed in Master's and PhD research in Brazil.

In 2011 I received the HIV+ diagnosis and in these 10 years I have had several intense experiences, but also very rich experiences. This reality deepened a healing journey and also created an expansion in my professional path, making me aware that part of this journey involves giving new meaning and changing the face of what it is to live with hiv in the 20th century. XXI. In recent years, I have been engaged in the area of activism and social justice, collaborating with several national and international institutions. I became the co-founder of VIRAL, the first collective in Portugal that approaches art as a space of empowerment and resignification of the collective imagination around HIV/AIDS.

In December 2020 I publicly revealed that I was living with hiv and from then on everything accelerated. Having revealed my status has made me connect with my peers and has called for other processes of resilience, people who feel identified and touched by this story. This step also led me to create the performance UNA, which has just premiered at the biggest theatrical event in West Africa, Festival Mindelact (Cape Verde), and which had the support of the Gulbenkian Foundation, CAMPUS and the GDA Foundation.

As I gained visibility, I started to receive messages frequently from people asking me how they can support me. And so, the idea of launching this Campaign arose, where people can feel part of this creation and help us move to work with the community.

The objective of this Campaign is to launch IMUNE, to gather conditions to take these actions to a first location. The funds will be used to implement the project as a whole (staff, spaces, materials, logistics) which is expected to be launched in mid-2022.

:::: “TO TELL A NEW STORY ABOUT HIV” ::::

IMUNE is an itinerant social intervention project that gathers forces between ART, HEALTH and EDUCATION. Researches the virus as an engine of social transformation, reflecting on how these processes illuminate paths for the current moment. Its specific starting point is the hiv virus, understood here as a field of research on human resilience and adaptation. Through different artistic-educational actions, it intends to raise awareness of the theme of hiv, and share the wisdom of positive bodies that for a long time have been developing resilient responses to uncertainty.

Each city will be develloped:

· Workshop with the local community

· Lecture at schools + Urban intervention

· Performance UNA + Post-performance talk

Through this step, we will be able to be together with different locations to implement the premises that are at the base of IMUNE: art as a means of education for inclusion and citizenship, a construction of citizenship that also integrates the body, affections and sexuality.

I'm here to tell a new story about hiv, a ressignification that has art as a starting point and as a means to overcome stigmas and social barriers.

Developping this community project is a dream I would like to share with you!

TERESA FABIÃO is a dancer, educator, researcher and human rights activist. She has a multifaceted path driven by transits: transits between different cultures, between different body languages and between different contexts of making-think dance (academic, artistic and popular context). Master in Dance. PhD in Performing Arts. Specialization in Therapy for the Expressive Arts. From 2008 to 2016, Teresa lives in Brazil where she collaborates with several choreographers, dancers, masters of popular culture. Co-founder of VIRAL, a pioneering collective in Portugal that uses the performing arts as a space for ressignify the imaginaries related to hiv. She has received several scholarships and has performed/ lived / taught in Portugal, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Colombia, Benin, Cape Verde, USA. Recently awarded by the EYE Program of the European Union, with a project that crosses the areas of art, education and health. Currently, she has just premiered the performance UNA, a research on the crossings between art & virus and on her ten-year journey as a woman living with hiv.
