The AHN IMRP is resilient and innovative. Covid has changed the way in which we train our residents; however, it has not stopped us from developing creative ways to educate.
GROW Together had its inaugural harvest of fresh veggies donated to the AGH Healthy Food Center. In November, TRIUMPHS was introduced to the Pittsburgh Science and Technology Academy. This three year mentoring program will support minority high school students to overcome barriers to becoming a doctor. A new transgender care curriculum launches in 2021 at the STAR Center.
Initiatives such as these are an investment in our residents and their training. Will you please join us on December 1, 2020 in the National Day of Giving. Help our garden grow and expand with winter sowing and additional garden boxes. Provide our TRIUMPH mentees with resource such as books and supplies. Invest in simulation education and the patient actors that specialize in LGBTQ education. Thank you for supporting #GivingTuesday and the #AHNIMres.
