Improved Nutrition for 450 Ugandan children
The 450 children who attend the Little Shepherd School in Rutunguru, Southern Uganda are not getting enough nutritious food to ensure they make the best of their education. Because of rising food prices and increased numbers of children attending, the school can not afford to provide a mixed diet. Children eat only two meals of 'Posho' (a cheap maise porridge) every day.
Helping Uganda Schools has helped fund the purchase of extra land to grow food. We are fundraising to purchase a cow, plant a perimeter of fruit trees and provide chickens for eggs.
We want to replace 100 old and damaged mosquito nets and help stock a new sick bay. Any donations are warmly welcomed.
