Improve GPWS Little League Fields

If everybody that reads this donates, we can hit our goal

The Grosse Pointe Woods Shore Little League is 100% funded through donations and your registration fees.

Beyond park maintenance and the cutting of the grass, the city of Grosse Pointe Woods does not fund any of the baseball field maintenance, improvements, or miscellaneous costs to run the baseball league

The GPWSLL board has worked hard raising over $100,000 to build a new concession stand with many new exciting features that includes a sound system, the addition of an accessible unisex bathroom for the fans, and players, and additional storage for the league. The new facility will be open for business for the start of 2020 season.

In addition, Grosse Pointe Softball has the opportunity to host the 2021 State Tournament. This would bring 16 teams from across the state and all their fans to Ghesquiere for a week of tournament play. It would give us the opportunity to showcase our facilities and generate revenue for the local businesses. This opportunity can only happen with improvements to the diamonds.

We need to turn our focus on the diamonds for the 2020 season.

At the start of last season, the league experienced weeks of games being cancelled due to the fields being too wet to play on; as the other GP leagues played their games on dry fields.  Many games did not get played at all as there simply were not enough playable days on the calendar. The diamonds are in need of updated drainage, infields, and bullpens require major upgrading

The Go Fund Me campaign will go towards adding drainage, cutting in a warning track, extending fair/foul lines, repairing the bullpens, and infields, scoreboards, adding new fencing for the back stops, etc.

With your donation we can bring the fields up to the standards of the Grosse Pointes as we strive to provide our children with a clean, functional, safe complex to enjoy their Little League experience. One that we all can be proud of.
