Missionary Trip to Africa

My name is Sierra Kamel, and I am in 10th grade. God has given me a deep desire to impact those around me. I dream of someday building orphanages around the world. This world is plagued with a tremendous amount of homeless and parentless children. Everyday I wake up to all kinds of love around me, but I desire to share some of that love, given by God, with those that are not as fortunate. God has given me a burden to let those children know that they are loved also, and that there is hope for them.

 I have volunteered for the past 3 years, by assisting in Sunday School and Children's Church. It has been extremely rewarding to influence the lives of young children I have grown to adore. I feel that through my ministry, I have been able to develop and grow these children's outlook about who God is. Changing lives doesn't  happen on accident, it takes the dedication and commitment of a community.

This summer I would like to be apart of a youth ministry team to Madagascar, Africa. I feel this is an opportunity to learn more about the suffering of others. I would like to minister to them through the word of God and through his love.

Through this mission trip, I can develop a better appreciation of how others live, and gain a greater understanding of my calling and how I can impact the world for God and with God. In the end, I know I can grow as a person into what God calls me to be. Even though I am 15 years old, I feel passionate about reaching those that are less fortunate and that are suffering.

I have been raising funds by babysitting, doing chores, selling food, and saving every gift I receive. Please be a part of this journey and impact the world  with me. I thank you in advance for any donation you make, it all starts with a love of others which God has put in us all.
