Relief for Immigrant families affected by COVID-19

COVID-19 has taken a toll, especially among the immigrant community. When low-income immigrants get infected with COVID-19 and are asked to quarantine, they face one of the hardest choices to make, whether to use the little money they have to pay rent or food. Some immigrants share overcrowded apartments with relatives or close friends due to rent unaffordability. This situation makes quarantining a nearly impossible task, increasing the risk of getting infected by the virus.


In Berkshire County, the number of immigrants who have been infected is very high and even though most of them have survived the virus, they hardly can go back to live their everyday lives. For many immigrants in our community, quarantine is a privilege that they can’t allow themselves. 


For that reason, we are fundraising to support immigrants and their families who don’t qualify for government assistance or need immediate relief.


Organized by Latinas413 two, a grassroots group based in the Berkshires, this fund will provide financial support for immigrant families who require IMMEDIATE help.
