Thank you for taking the time to view my gofundme campaign. I am Imman Barnes and for as long as I can remember I've been passionate about soccer. It is my dream to one day play professionally and Internationally.
I currently play at the Academy level of soccer, which is the highest level of competive soccer before going to college or playing professionally. I recently traveled to Indianapolis with my team to attend the US Soccer Development Academy Showcase . I was scouted by a National Team Scout, putting me one step closer towards my dream of playing for the U17 National Team.
I have a great opportunity to attend a camp this summer at Stanford Universtity and be seen as well as receive training from some of the Nation's top college coaches. For those of you that know me, you know how much soccer means to me and you know how much my parents fully support me. My dad recently lost his job, so I feel in order to make this happen without adding stress, I need the help of my village.
My goal is to raise $1500 to cover my gear and the full cost of the 4-day overnight camp July 20 - 23rd where I will stay in the dorms at Stanford University. I hope you will consider giving something towards the continuation of this positive outlet; no amount is too small!

Here's some information about the camp.
The Complete Student-Athlete Experience:
This camp allow you to showcase your skills, it will also give you a taste of what college soccer is all about on one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. You will train using many of the same methods and facilities that the Stanford teams use, interact daily with the current players and get the chance to ask them about their experiences in a panel discussion, and live in the dorms that the students stay in during the school year.
Players will train by position and as teams. Goalkeepers will receive specialized training throughout the week while the field players are trained. All players will have the opportunity to be seen in several full game settings as well.
Topics ranging from fitness training to video analysis to choosing a college will be offered during this session in addition to our on field curriculum.
Staff:
Our Staff consists of some of the best Division I, II, and III collegiate coaches from across the country. These head coaches will be assisted by current Stanford and other renowned college coaches and players. Many current Stanford players previously attended this camp!
Thanks again for considering to donate towards my camp experience. I really appreciate all of your support and am really excited about being able to stay in the dorms and take my training to the next level! When I play soccer I am completely free and one with the ball. It brings me joy, it makes me work hard, it helps me in relationships, it keeps me healthy and it helps me overcome challenges.
