Imani’s medical relief fund

The little girl in the photo above is my wonderful, vibrant, talented, brilliant, sweet little Imani. Her birthday is on the 29th of this month. She will be turning 6. Unfortunately, She has been in the ICU for the past week with an unknown ailment that doctors can’t figure out since last week. She had a high fever last Sunday(June 5th) and things went downhill fast.  Hundreds of tests have come back negative for all possible ailments. She doesn’t have Covid either. Whatever is ailing her is currently a mystery. Just that all internal organs are swollen and was quickly failing plus an enlarged heart. However, She is slowly but steadily improving daily and responding to treatments, but we have a very long way to go. Doctors anticipate at least a 6 week stay in the ICU. She has insurance, but they anticipate her medical bills reaching about  One million dollars after all is said and done. Insurance won’t cover every single thing she needs, nor that whole amount, and her father and I have not been able to work this past week. I’m also making the decision to take time off work completely to concentrate on her healing journey and stay in the ICU with her, and so we made the decision  that I would create this gofundme to supplement for not just her medical bills, but the expenses that are coming with having to stay with her in the ICU for an extended period of time and our missing income. Please note that It isn’t mandatory to donate monetary gifts. Prayers and positive thoughts are also greatly appreciated. I was hesitant to do this, but we can’t do this alone, and thus we decided to put our pride and concerns for what people will say aside and make this gofund me.
