Imam Mohamed Mukhtar

Tax deductible
Salaam Peace,

On Thursday August 8th ( on the anniversary of the bombing of the mosque)  around 10pm,  Sheikh Mohamed Mukhtar was walking home from Dar Al-Farooq when two people described as being young and wearing masks approached and assaulted the Sheikh. The Sheikh suffered a non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Fairview Southdale Hospital. He is now recovering at home.

The injuries the sheikh suffered will require some time to recover. We are asking community to support the Imam with funds to cover any health or other expenses and to support his family during this challenging time.

The case is ongoing and we are asking community members to help the local police department to find those who committed this assault.

If anyone has any information of this incident or is aware of other assaults please contact the Bloomington Police Department.
