Oppose human trafficking in Cambodia

In a world where businesses often fuel exploitation, we believe business can be the solution. By donating, you will provide safe employment that opposes exploitation and human trafficking.

Through an awareness conference Steve & Andrée-Anne (IMAGO founders) learned of the horrifying injustice of exploitation; that truth could not be unseen. This issue begged an important question:

In a world stricken by injustice, pain, and poverty, what does love look like?

In a quest to answer this question Steve & Andrée-Anne found that the greatest practical need in the fight against exploitation, is safe employment. They moved to Cambodia, learned the language & culture, and started IMAGO ready to use their business skills to provide life changing jobs that oppose exploitation.

IMAGO is the dream of a hotel with intentionality and purpose in Cambodia. Our core values stem from what we believe love looks like:

F reedom – Promoting spiritual and physical freedom.
R estoration - Nurturing restoration of the mind, soul and body.
E mpowerment – Fostering empowerment of individuals.
E xcellence – Stimulate excellence in ourselves and others.
D ignity – Standing for dignity for all people.

63.5% of Cambodians live at risk of modern-day slavery. Poverty, illiteracy and lack of employment lead numerous Cambodians to make desperate choices to support their families. Many fall into exploitative employment with dangerous work conditions and unfair to no salary. This must be addressed. You can help to provide safe employment to survivors of exploitation and those from communities at risk by supporting IMAGO.

The Hotel Project

With your help we will establish this hotel where the employees will be empowered to impact generations to come.  IMAGO will be a workplace where employees, and guests, will be treated with honor and dignity. We plan to establish this hotel in the Siem Reap region of Cambodia.
Siem Reap is the touristic hub of Cambodia. It is home to Angkor Wat, one of the largest religious monuments in the world, and the country's main attraction. This region draws millions of tourists in need of accommodation. This hotel will be a refuge of peace for guests looking for an exotic vacation and exquisite service in an oasis like setting.

When IMAGO reaches the funding goal a hotel property will be acquired and the hiring of many Cambodians will begin!
We aim to begin the hotel project in 2020.

Every donation you give makes a difference! No matter the size, all funds received will be used to directly oppose exploitation.  Examples could look like...

A gift of:
$20 could help buy the learning materials needed to train one Cambodian
$100 could buy two uniforms for IMAGO staff
$475 could buy one square meter of prime real estate in the Siem Reap market
$1,150 could buy one square meter of prime land and construct a piece of the hotel
$4,000 could provide a competitive wage for a year for one Cambodian
$30,000 could build a beautiful 45 square meter room with all the furnishings

Get your name on a plaque showing the piece of land you helped IMAGO acquire. The project goal is around 5,000 square meters. How many square meters of land, depicted in the grid, will you cover?

Thank you for being a part of changing lives, for opposing exploitation and believing that business can be the solution.
