IMA Louisville Relief Fund

Hi, this is Shihan Rick McGavin, from IMA North Fork Karate in Paonia CO. I am one of Hanshi Madani's oldest students. and one of the senior members of the International Martialarts Association.  I began my martial arts training in the Louisville dojo.

I am fundraising on behalf of the International MartialArts Association (IMA) family members in Louisville CO who have had losses due to the Marshall Fire in Superior and Louisville, CO on December 30, 2021.

 

Although downtown Louisville did not burn and the Honbu dojo is still there as of this writing, many of our close neighbors and families who train with us were affected. Some  lost their homes in this devastating blaze.

 

We would like to help them by making funds available for food, clothing ,shelter, transportation and other basic needs. The goal is to  tide our IMA families over until other funds are available. As many of you know, emergency funds and insurance can take some time to receive and a little help from friends can be vital in the immediate future.

We will deposit the funds to a special bank account set up with Bank of Colorado, called the IMA Louisville Relief Fund.
As soon as we are able, we begin intend to distribute the funds collected directly to the victims by Venmo or other electronic means, if they have the technology. The alternative would be funds distributed by check.
