<div>At just a year old, my daughter Zooni’s personality was a beautiful blend of strength, curiosity, and innocent joy that could light up any room. She was a little explorer, always wide-eyed and fascinated by the world around her, from the sound of a soft lullaby to the warmth of her loved ones’ hugs.

<div>Unfortunately, life took a turn when Zooni was diagnosed with a rare childhood Cancer when she was just 7 months old, and from that moment, our lives changed forever. The initial days were filled with disbelief and heartbreak, but we quickly found the strength to fight alongside her. Her treatment was a challenging journey, marked by countless hospital visits, medical procedures, and moments of uncertainty. Despite everything, Zooni exhibited remarkable bravery. She was full of life and positivity, even during the hardest times. Our family grew closer in ways we never imagined, supporting each other and finding strength in Zooni's unwavering spirit. We made the most of our time together, creating memories that we will cherish forever.

<div>Tragically, after battling her illness with incredible courage, Zooni passed away on November 24, 2024, only 3 days after her first birthday. Losing her was the most devastating moment of our lives, leaving an irreplaceable void. However, through this pain, we have found purpose in keeping her memory alive and advocating for other families facing similar challenges. Zooni’s journey is a testament to love, resilience, and the enduring power of hope.

<div>‘Zooni’ was treated in Great Ormond Street hospital (GOSH) for a very rare childhood cancer. Treatment and care in GOSH is world class and their compassion towards children and their parents is truly remarkable. Words cannot truly capture the depth of our gratitude for all that they did for our beloved Zooni during her journey with cancer. From the compassionate care provided by the doctors and nurses to the unwavering support from every member of the staff, their dedication had been a beacon of hope in some of our darkest days.

<div>GOSH treats children with the rarest and most complex types of cancer. Researchers at the GOSH hospital are working on ground–breaking scientific ideas to make these treatments a reality. With some of the rarest cancers affecting only a few children a year. My daughter ‘Zooni’ was diagnosed with a rare cancer which affects up to 3 babies a year. I really hope they will be able to develop new treatment to cure this deadly cancer.
