In debt to a college because of my mental illness

I entered university to study mechanical engineering when I was eighteen. I took 19 units and I couldn’t handle taking classes such as calculus, physics, and advanced English at the same time. I fell into a deep state of depression and anxiety. I couldn’t leave my house as I was in fear all the time. I was hospitalized and put in heavy medication. 

When I came back from the hospital, I went back to university and signed up for classes. They didn’t charge me or tell me that my scholarship was all used up. So the second semester the anxiety and depression hit me again and I was hospitalized again. Because I dropped the classes the second semester they are charging me 2,500 dollars

I’m in the process of recovery and I’m doing better. I’m currently on some form of disability. So I can’t do certain things. I’m currently not well enough to work and go to school at the same time. I have a fragile mind a low stress tolerance. I’m attending a community college and I’m doing well. Please anything helps 

I currently play music at Catholic Churches around San Diego. Monday through Thursday I serve and I play a mass on Sunday.
