Care for our dear Timothy

Dear friends and sangha,
Many of you already know that our dearest Timothy Frazier recently had a serious medical emergency. Timothy was staying in the Bay Area to help two dear friends, as one has been dealing with her own very serious health issues. It was a blessing that his emergency happened while he was in a big city. Timothy rushed to the emergency room with chest pains at 4:30AM. The doctors later said that if he had waited until later in the morning, he most certainly would have died.
After surgery, the doctors concluded he has a congenital condition which causes spontaneous pneumothoracix blebs- little air bubbles that can rupture. In Timo's case, this caused his lung to partially collapse. He also lost a tremendous amount of blood- about 4 pints.
After surgery, the doctor gave the good news for hopes of a full recovery! We are all rejoicing. The recovery will be a long process, however. Many of you know that Timo has already spent the last couple of months recoving from a surgery that had complications this summer. So, more rest for him.
For now, things seem promising. Relief!
I am sharing this with friends of Timo with the hope to raise funds to help him during this recovery time. Timothy has been living at Rigdzin Ling now for many years. Most of you know that there are not many opportunities for saving money while supporting the activities at Rigdzin Ling as a staff member. Staff are asked to offer their time to the dharma center fully and completely; this is such a blessing!
The doctor believes Timothy will need to recover for about 6 weeks. Timothy has mentioned that he would like to spend most of that time back in Kansas with his family. Unfortunately, his family does not currently have the financial means to support Timo, although they have so much love. I would like to ask you to help support Timothy. As soon as the doctors approve him to fly, he will be able to go home to his family.
For now, I am hoping that $1,000 will be sufficient for him for the next couple of months. Please join me in making an offering in any amount. Timothy would be too shy to ask for money, but I think it is important that we gather during this difficult time and support a loving sangha member and friend.
