Il gruppo Pé no Chão nasce a Recife nel 1994, in Brasile. 

Da anni lavora con i ragazzi delle favelas offrendo loro un'alternativa concreta alla violenza e all'emarginazione, attraverso l'arte, la danza e il teatro. Il loro nuovo spettacolo, "Roda Favela" (teaser: <a href="https://youtube.com/watch?v=Ghi3q7HDXWA&amp;feature=shared" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://youtube.com/watch?v=Ghi3q7HDXWA&amp;feature=shared</a>) , racconta con potenza, poesia e ritmo la vita nelle periferie urbane, trasformando le difficoltà quotidiane in espressione artistica e speranza. 
 
Ora questo progetto ha l'opportunità unica di effettuare una tournée europea nei teatri italiani e, soprattutto, di partecipare al prestigioso Festival Internazionale di Teatro di Avignone – una delle vetrine più importanti del teatro contemporaneo mondiale.
