Ika Mission Station needs a Tractor

Ika Mission Station in Ika Village, Nigeria, serves many purposes. There is a print shop, Bible School, Translation office, hospital and camp and conference site.  One of the essential tools that is used frequently is the TRACTOR.  In 2007, the mission received a no brand name tractor from the government that had been sitting outside for several years.

Since then, that tractor has become a very important tool on the compound.  It hauls wood for Bible School, cuts the grass around the camp buildings, hospital, and the many fields. It also has been used for cutting grass down at the local community school frequently as well as hauling water for well projects, and wood and sand for mission projects. It has put in thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of work hours.

Thanks to Ben's skills and creativity, the poor tractor has been rebuilt many, many times. There are parts from a Peugeot station wagon, a Semi Tractor Trailer, Jeeps,  other cars, actual tractor parts, and currently Ben is preparing a radiator from a cement mixer to go on it.  Unfortunately, it does not seem like the tractor has much left to give.  The rebuilds of the engine are getting more frequent and other parts are breaking down.

After much research, Ben has found a tractor that will fulfill the needs of the mission and is the most reasonably priced at $14,000.  This is where we need your help.  Ika Mission Station is non-profit in all aspects, and does not have the income to purchase large equipment like this.

Please pray about partnering with us to help purchase a new tractor.  Your donation will make a significant impact  at Ika Mission for years to come and allow us to continue serving the Ika community to the best of our ability.
