<div>​Kaatje leeft met Parkinson. Een ziekte die helaas nog altijd niet te genezen is. Gelukkig zijn er behandelingen die haar helpen om zich beter te voelen en sterker in het leven te staan. Minder gelukkig is dat deze behandelingen volledig uit eigen zak betaald moeten worden.

<div>​En haar grootste drijfveer? Haar 16-jarige zoon. Ze wil nog jaren de mama zijn die langs de zijlijn staat te supporteren, mee op avontuur gaat en er gewoon altijd voor hem kan zijn. Dat is de finish waar zij elke dag voor blijft vechten.

<div>​Dus dacht ik: als ik mezelf toch vrijwillig urenlang op een fiets ga martelen, dan moet dat ergens toe dienen.

<div>Daarom wil ik geld inzamelen zodat Kaatje haar behandelingen kan blijven volgen. Vanuit solidariteit en betrokkenheid, omdat we samen het verschil kunnen maken met iets dat voor ons misschien klein lijkt, maar voor haar en haar gezin ontzettend veel betekent.
