Ik krijg vaak de vraag waarom ik om hulp vraag. Daarom deel ik hier mijn verhaal.
 
Mijn naam is Akke.

Ik ben een trotse moeder en vechter. Al jaren vecht ik voor mijn gezondheid, mijn gezin en een toekomst waarin ik weer kan léven in plaats van overleven.
 
Sinds 2022 ben ik ernstig beperkt. Inmiddels lig ik 24 uur per dag plat zitten lukt niet meer. Mijn wereld is klein geworden, maar ondanks alles probeer ik het beste te maken van elke dag.
 
Mijn motto is altijd geweest: geef nooit op. En dat doe ik ook niet. Voor mijn gezin. Voor mijn kinderen.
 
Vastgelopen in de zorg

De afgelopen jaren is mijn gezondheid steeds verder achteruitgegaan. Wat het extra zwaar maakt, is dat ik vast ben gelopen in het zorgsysteem.
 
Zoals artsen zelf zeggen: ik val tussen wal en schip.

Onderzoeken stopten, diagnoses werden betwijfeld en een label werd als eindpunt gebruikt. Second opinions werden tegengehouden en hulpmiddelen afgewezen.
 
Ik bleef achter met steeds meer klachten, maar zonder antwoorden.
 
Wat er medisch speelt (in grote lijnen)

Bij mij zijn onder andere vastgesteld:
 
- POTS (autonome ontregeling)

- Doorgemaakte dubbele longembolie

- Diabetes (lange tijd onderbehandeld)

- Schildklierproblemen

- Ernstige vitamine B12- en D-tekorten

- Hartritmestoornissen

- Slikklachten en uitval

- Herhaalde longontstekingen en infecties

- Post-infectieuze klachten (o.a. na 3× COVID)

- ME is (genoemd door hoogleraar, nooit verder opgepakt)

- Astma, PDS, vitiligo

- Fistel met setondrain

- Nierontsteking met dubbel J

- Blaasontstekingen, incontinentie

- Spier- en hoofdpijnklachten
 
Dat is nog niet alles de lijst wordt steeds langer en waar door?
 
Daarnaast heb ik blijvende schade overgehouden aan een traumatische bevalling met meerdere operaties.
 
Deze klachten zijn nooit in samenhang onderzocht, waardoor de juiste zorg uitbleef.
 
Waarom ik blijf vechten

Ik geef niet op.

Voor mijn gezin. Voor mijn kinderen.
 
Het is zó belangrijk om duidelijkheid te krijgen:
 
- Wat speelt er in mijn lichaam?

- Wat is behandelbaar?

- Wat kan verdere achteruitgang voorkomen?
 
Daarvoor is gespecialiseerd en onafhankelijk onderzoek nodig. Helaas valt dit grotendeels buiten de reguliere zorg.
