The Irvington High School Wrestling Team has just started our 2017/2018 Campaign. We need your support today to ensure our success as we battle through the season on the way to MVALs.
We are starting a new era at Irvington with a new coaching staff. We are focused on creating a culture built on loyalty, determination and grit. The highest quality physical training is married to rigorous academic and character development so that our wrestlers are prepared upon graduation to compete at the collegiate level both academically and athletically. Each Irvington Wrestler is required to meet better than average academic standards and maintain it through the season.
Our Open Mat pre-season has included some great activities. We started a rigorous conditioning program and ran mat work sessions where the more experienced wrestlers taught the new wrestlers the basics to give them a head start on the season. The regular season runs from November 2017 through March 2018. Although we are a young team, we are preparing for another great season with many dedicated wrestlers. But it will take more than our hard work and dedication to ensure these great kids have every opportunity they deserve.
Increased tournament fees and travel costs will run approximately $300 per wrestler... Can you help us reach our goal with a 100% tax-deductible donation? Any amount is appreciated!
