<div>Wir von der Igelrettung Ortenau e.V. kümmern uns täglich um verletzte, kranke und verwaiste Igel aus der gesamten Ortenau. In unserer <strong>Igelstation, unserem  Igelkrankenhaus in Lahr</strong> werden die Tiere medizinisch versorgt, aufgepäppelt und auf ihre Auswilderung vorbereitet.

<div>Besonders während der<strong> Saison werden oft über 100 Igel gleichzeitig </strong>versorgt, viele davon schwer verletzt, unterernährt oder von Parasiten befallen. Ohne Hilfe könnten wir diese Arbeit nicht leisten.

<div>Der Igel steht inzwischen auf der Vorwarnliste gefährdeter Arten. Immer mehr Tiere leiden unter dem Verlust ihres Lebensraums, Verkehrsunfällen, Mährobotern oder Futtermangel. Jede Rettung zählt.

<div>Unsere Arbeit erfolgt rein ehrenamtlich, mit viel Herzblut, Zeit und persönlichem Einsatz. Alleine können wir die Kosten nicht stemmen.
