Brooke's Volunteer Trip to Haiti
Donation protected
For many years, I have wanted to serve others in a deeper way. When I moved back to the US two years ago, I decided it was time to act on having more service to others in my life. With my extra time, I first began working at the Baldwin County Humane Society as a volunteer. A year ago, I applied to and was accepted into the Peace Corps (a life long dream). But, due to health issues, I've had to put that dream on the back burner. But, it didn't mean I had to put my desire to help, serve and empower others on the back burner, too. Now this oppurtunity to travel to Haiti to help the orphaned children at Nos Petits Amis Maison D'espoir has presented itself to me. This form of service goes way beyond serving others on the mat as a yoga teacher. I'm grateful for what the non-profit organization, Project House of Hope, is doing for the orphaned children at Nos Petits Amis Maison D'espoir in Haiti, and I want to help their cause. I am a full-time yoga teacher, wellness coach, and have a few jobs to make ends meet. I earn more in gratitude, love and inspiration than I do in dollars. Therefore, I am asking for help with raising money for the costs I will incur in order to take this amazing volunteer trip.
