Help Me Honor My Mom, Rebecca R. Archer
My name is Brindelin A. Archer, and I am the only daughter of Rebecca R. Archer—a woman who was my everything. A women who I strived to be so much alike. A Mother who's music pored from her soul and a mother who would live by the phrase- " If The Music Was Too Loud, Your Too Old". Last Sunday, I lost my mom, and with her passing, I lost my anchor, my comfort, and my best friend. I am shattered, scared, and grieving deeply as I try to find the strength to navigate life without her.
Rebecca was a woman of extraordinary love and resilience. She worked tirelessly as a pharmacy technician for over 20 years, cared for others with unrelenting compassion, and always put her family first. She stood by me through the hardest times in my life, especially during my health struggles in 2018 when she refused to leave my side after my emergency surgery. Her love saved me then, and now I want to honor her memory by giving her the respectful and loving farewell she deserves.
Unfortunately, I cannot do this alone. Over the years, life has been incredibly challenging for us. From losing our home to legal battles and enduring hardships that left us living on the edge, my mother and I fought side by side, never giving up on each other. Despite the odds, we kept going, always dreaming of better days. But her health began to fail, and she fought valiantly against chronic heart failure and other illnesses. Even in her toughest moments, she carried herself with dignity and strength, never letting go of her love for me and the hope she had for our future.
Now, I’m left facing her loss and the overwhelming financial burden of arranging her funeral. I want to honor her final wish: to be laid to rest alongside her mother, where I can visit her and find some peace in knowing she’s at rest with family. The cost of this is far beyond what I can afford, and all I’ve managed so far is $450 from pawning my e-bike.
I am humbly asking for your help. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward covering her funeral expenses and securing her resting place. If you’re unable to give, sharing this campaign with others would mean the world to me.
My mom was magnificent—brilliant, strong, courageous, and most of all, loving beyond words. She deserves the best this world can offer, and I will do everything in my power to make that happen.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can provide.
Sincerely,
Brindelin
