If Cricket Can Fight A Coyote, She’s Got This

For all of you that know me, you know how special Cricket has been in my life the last 10 years. She is quirky and weird, adventurous and fearless (except dumpsters and vacuums), sweet but not too sweet (ha). She really has a unique and big personality that is seriously fun to be around...maybe I’m partial. She has had quite a life for a 10 year old dog. She’s been all over the country moving from place to place meeting new people from NC as far as Alaska!
She’s also had some really scary experiences in her short life from a knee surgery to be attacked by a coyote and surviving! And now...the need for a major back surgery. She injured her back over the years and on thanksgiving tweaked it so bad that it will require surgical intervention to keep her from having ongoing pain and suffering. She must first have an MRI to find out exactly where the problem is and will then go into surgery to fix the problem. The costs have already accumulated to >$800 and will now cost another $6-8k for the MRI and surgery. It seems a steep price, but the veterinarian has told me the outcome for these surgeries is curative and will allow her to live a pain free life back to her baseline mobility (which is very agile and spunky). The doctor said she may even be more mobile because she’s probably slowed down because of the chronic issue. I believe given Cricket’s young age (for a small dog) and the hope that this will cure her issues, it is the best decision. I am asking for any and all donations to help with Cricket’s expenses.
