Emergency Heart Surgery

My sister, Kegan, has been battling an internal illness for quite some time and  is currently in ICU due to unexpected complications from organ failure and a series of infections.  Kegan is 27 years old and is an amazing mother to a beautiful 2 year old baby girl, named Tatum.  Kegan is bright and ambitious, and can light up a room with her smile. She has a contagious  personality and a gentle soul, a tender and very kind heart, and a love for laughter. Her sweet baby and her family mean everything to her.  At this time, we have now learned that Kegan has 6 very rare forms of infection in her blood. Those infections, despite being on heavy antiibioics is spreading and getting worse every day. The infection has spread to her heart, leaving mass growth on her tricuspid valve in her right atrium. We have also learned that due to the growing infection, 2 of the 3 cords/tendions (forgive my lack of medical terms) that connect the valve to her right ventricle, have now ruptured. Kegan will now need to undergo heart surgery to replace her valve and repair any ruptures at this time. Kegan had to be transferred to a different hospital, where she could be kept and cared for in her critical condition. We are all scared for her and want her to know that she has so much love & support on the outside. Right now, we need help more than ever. I am hoping to raise as much as possible, and lift a heavy burden from my parents, as well as my sister, to help cover the costs associated with her care, as she currently has no medical coverage.  We remain very hopeful that she will overcome this heartbreaking situation, and wish for her to focus on her health and recovery, and not about the stress of medical expenses.
