ICSV Fundraise for Low-Income Asian Immigrants

Donation protected
As inflation rises to the highest it has been in 40 years, the cost of living has also risen exponentially, especially in Silicon Valley. With a surge of Asian and Asian Pacific Islanders (AAPI) hate crimes in 2021, one group of vulnerable individuals is especially affected by the detrimental effects pandemic brought - the low-income Asian/Pacific Islander immigrants.

The Interact Club of Silicon Valley (ICSV), a communal Rotary youth volunteer club, is leading a donation to raise funds for The Asian Law Alliance, a non-profit organization based in Silicon Valley. Through legal and community services, the ALA provides Asian Pacific Islanders and low-income populations equal access to the American justice system. The Asian Law Alliance has already assisted tens of thousands of people in obtaining decent housing, justice in the immigration process, and access to basic human and legal rights. With ICSV’s help, we hope to continue providing free legal assistance to low-income Asian/Pacific Islander immigrants during the pandemic.

We have already raised $1,900 through ICSV. In order to meet our grand total goal of $10,000, we are striving to raise $8,100 on Gofundme to provide legal assistance to low-income Asian immigrants during the pandemic.
