The Virtual Ramadan Experience
Livestreamed Religious Programs:
• We will have a robust Ramadan schedule with daily activities for you to tune into online. Our goal is to bring the spirit of Ramadan to you whilst you stay safe at home.
• The religious committee will be having Suhoor Spiritual Mornings on Friday and Saturday throughout Ramadan. This will be for one hour before suhoor. These spiritual mornings will last 45 minutes. This includes daily Quran recitation for an hour, a diverse range of commentators, salat Isha and Taraweeh prayers.
• We will continue to have our Friday khutbas live-streamed from the Center during Ramadan.
Even though our doors can not be open to the public right now, we hope you can join our live-stream on Facebook , YouTube, and our website .
Feeding the needy:
• The ICSC food pantry has grown to serve 280 people/week, feeding over 1,120 people/month. The food pantry is open every Saturday from 9.30 am - 11.30 am at the back parking lot. We have taken precautions to ensure that everyone involved is safe. This includes having a maximum of 10 volunteers at a time, wearing protective clothing and making sure that everyone is 6 feet apart from each other in line.
• The ICSC has partnered with local businesses to provide vouchers for iftar to those most in need. We have a target of 100 people and our development committee is helping us raise $45,000 ($15/person for 30 days of Ramadan to pay for suhoor and iftar groceries) insha'Allah.
• If you are unable to leave your home because you belong to an at-risk group, the ICSC can facilitate the critical delivery of groceries, household items, and vital necessities.
