ICRA - Worth County

Donation protected
Worth County is a beautiful rural county in northern Iowa.  Like many other Iowa counties, however, we are being inundated by factory farms.  Research tells us they are polluting our air, water, and soil and sickening our children (high incidence of asthma and other respiratory illnesses) and adult citizens (Citizens in this group living near some of the CAFOs have major health issues - epilepsy, lung disease, asthma, cancer) through pollution and anitbiotic resistance.  ICRA - Worth County (Citizens for Responsible Agriculture) was formed to educate people about the negative impacts of factory farms in our community, to resist the introduction of new CAFOs, and to resist the expansion of existing CAFOs.  We currently have five new CAFOs being built in the county with more on the way.

The money from this fund will help us spread the word throughout the county about the work of our organization through the use of billboards,  flyers, meetings, speakers, and a conference.  We are looking for ongoing donations as we are in this fight for the long haul.  Immediate expenses are needed before the start of the Legislature in January.

We are grateful for any amount people may wish to offer.  We hope by our example and work with other like-organizations that we can begin to clean up rural Iowa and America.   We are ready to do our part!  Please help.
