One simple question: What price a life?
Now I know... One day of his life costs just 6.50 CHF - for us so little, for him everything.
The beginning of the story...
It started with a chance visit, one look, one short moment with baby Mani and it was sure – I do everything possible so that Mani can live a long and happy cow life!
Fate, coincidence, pure luck... you can call it what you wish.
Happy childhood...
Mani was born in Zermatt; a great and happy place for cows. He spent the first summer of his life here in the Alps growing up with the other baby cows from his herd. Such a beautiful life – just look at the photos.
And just one problem...
Autumn has come to our valley with full autumnal force. It is an amazing time when all of nature is changing.
As the days grow colder, the animals make their way down to lower pastures.
But there is one problem – Mani is a boy, and boy cows do not generally get to live longer than their first summer...
But Mani is lucky one!
He has us - good friends who have decided to change his destiny, and for Mani, this is the beginning of his next great adventure!
We have found Mani a place in the Projekt http://www.vivalavacca.ch/ , where he can stay happy for the rest of his life, much more longer than just one summer. His new home is https://ferienhof-blasenberg.weebly.com/ , which is where we took him at the beginning of October 2017. It's a great place with great people and the only thing that Mani needs now from us is to be financially secure for the rest of
his long and happy life. This means a monthly payment to the farm and any necessary medical costs. Just 2400 CHF can give Mani life for one year.
One day of his life costs just 6.50 CHF - for us so little, for him everything.
