Patrick's Hawaii Band Trip Fund

Donation protected
Hello there,

My name is Patrick Hubbard, a sophomore at Crystal Lake South High School. I'm a musician, singer, actor, and a member of the band program at school.

Here's my story:

A few years ago, I found out at an orientation that our band was planning of traveling to Hawaii during the spring break of 2015 as an opportunity to perform, enjoy a fantastic vacation as well as celebrate our band director's last of 31 years of teaching.
I have had a passion for band and music ever since I was little and I first played the saxophone, and I couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of this once in a lifetime experience.

For my entire freshman year I thought hard about it. I knew without a doubt I had the motivation to save up for it, I've always wanted to travel somewhere far and exotic. Coming from a family who as to put a lot of effort toward simply paying the bills and keeping food on the table, I haven't gotten to travel as much as I've wanted to, I've never even been on a plane or traveled outside the midwest. Which is good in a way, because it leaves me curious. I want to see what other parts of the world are like and I want to take every oppportunity I can to travel.
For this trip, we already have a pretty exciting itinarary which consists of performing at the Pearl Harbour memorial and University of Hawaii, along with touring Honoulu and Haleiwa Town, whale watching, snorkeling, and pretty much all you could ask for in one trip. Because of all this, the cost rounded up at $2,365

In this past year, I've come up with plenty of ways to make and save money for it, and succeeded in some of it. I spent much of this past summer mowing lawns door-to-door, as well as selling a few old valuables on Ebay. I applied for a few part-time jobs as well, but finding time for these things is becoming increasingly difficult. School is becoming more demanding, days are getting shorter, and my schedule is staring to lose room.

As of now, I've managed to raise about $910 (38%)of it on my own, but that isn't nearly enough. I still owe about $1,450, and I'm far behind on the payment schedule. The rest of the money is due by January, and accepting generous donations will be the only way I can be a part of this trip.

I am very hopeful that this will work and nothing would help more than just a simple donation of any amount. If the word is spread to enough people, I'll have my goal reached in no time.

If I am successful with this and able to go on the trip, I will make sure to send out a postcard from Hawaii along with a thank-you note to whomever is willing to contribute.
Every donation counts tremendously, but if you don't want to/aren't able to, feel free to at least show your support by helping spread the word to others.

Thank you for your support, please share this with
everyone you can!
(Facebook, email, Twitter, etc.)

Have a wonderful New Year!

-Patrick
