Cochlear implants are very successful for some people, but not everyone is a candidate. LUCKILY, Ibrahim is a candidate for an implant in both his ears.
He is two years of age and treatment has already been too delayed. Now he has a chance to get a cochlear implant but needs your help.
Help a young child hear for the FIRST time in his life.
URGENT: The funds are needed by the end of this month in time for his surgery.
Ongoing Process: This is just the start. After this, he will have to go for speech therapy and still have a lifetime of challenges, but with the cochlear implant, he can at least be independent.
If left untreated, hearing loss can have serious consequences, particularly for children. Children who cannot hear, do not learn to speak and, in many countries, are not able to attend school, which lowers their chances of pursuing a career and leading an independent life.
