Last December our family was blessed with an opportunity to spend a week at an orphanage right outside of Port -au-Prince, Haiti. A dear friend of ours was in the process of adopting 3 amazing boys and we took our older children to meet them, to experience their life in Haiti, and to serve the 150 plus beautiful children in this orphanage at Christmas time.
A few days ago our family received notice through several very trustworthy sources that the orphanage no longer had the resources to provide formula to the infants in their care and that they were feeding them water to at least fill their stomachs. As a result of this situation, one infant had passed away and several more were in real trouble.
We decided as a family that we would take action and reach out to our friends and family and simply find out if anyone has the formula samples they received at the hospital etc. or leftover formula that was never used or needed as we did when we were in the baby business. :)
We will be pulling together all that we can find, buying more, and packing it for the local group of friends who will be visiting the orphanage over the Christmas holiday this year. 100% of all contributions will be hand delivered to the orphanage and the children will benefit immediately.

We absolutely don't want anyone to feel obligated or burdened by this. This is a financially demanding time of year for everyone and we are very sensitive to that. If you had been able to meet these amazing children, you would understand immediately our sense of urgency and share the love we have for them.
We can't post full pictures of our experience in Haiti due to the ophanage rules but email us if you would like to privately share via email. Very powerful images of a life changing experience.
