Hi, My name is David D. Hall. March 2019 my life as I knew it changed for my wife, daughter and myself. We found out that I have Pulmonary Fibrosis Lung Disease in both of my lungs. The doctors told my family and I it is serve. I will need a DOUBLE LUNG TRANSPLANT. I started off being on 2 liters of oxygen then. I'm now on 4 to 5 liters at rest and 6 liters if I'm walking and/or doing things.The older tanks that I have go to 5 liters. That being said they only last about 1 hour & 20 minutes per tank. It's very stressful for appointment days because I have to carry 6 to 10 tanks with us to go to Jacksonville, FL to the Mayo Clinic a 1 hour and 45 minute drive 1 way. They weigh about 8 to 10 lbs which exhausts me from carrying them all around. With this being said we are trying to get me a portable Inogen5 oxygen tank which will go up to what I need and my family and I will not have the worries of me not having enough oxygen to go where ever I need to go. It will be less stress on all of us. It will help me not to get exhausted as quick. My wife's Health INS will NOT cover it. So we are trying to get up the money to buy it. The cost for it is $3,000.00 .
My wife is the only one that's been working for the last several months. She is trying to pay the bills and at the same time save money for my Inogen5 and all the doctors bills, Co-pays, medicines and all the expenses that come from being a Pre-DOUBLE Lung Transplant patient.
