Ibby's Pain Pump

My mother, Ibby Russell, has long been afflicted by an incredibly rare and excruciatingly painful kidney disease called Loin Pain Hematuria Syndrome.  There is no cure for LPHS, and she has suffered for over 13 years.    This extremely rare disease mimics the pain of constantly passing a kidney stone on both sides.  That is to say, for the past 13 years, my mother has been in agony.  

Despite that, she has always done her best to raise her 11 children and help them learn about the world.  Her resilience makes her the most incredible person I've ever met.  However, the disease has taken its toll on her, both mentally and physically. 

There is a surgery available that would drastically reduce the pain she experiences, but her insurance won't cover the procedure.   Doctors have advised us that if we don't get her a pain pump, she will likely die soon. 

With that in mind, I am setting a goal of raising enough money for the procedure ($25000) before the end of 2017.  Each day we wait is another day Ibby has to spend in pain.  Please consider helping us to save my mom's life.
