Ian's Ruff Start Dog Rescue Eagle Project
My son Ian has just one task remaining to complete his final requirement to gain the rank of Eagle Scout - his Eagle project, which is a benefit to provide dog beds, leashes and collars for newly adopted dogs through Ruff Start Rescue. This is the same dog rescue organization our family went through to adopt our dog Jellybean! Ruff Start is near and dear to Ian and the rest of our family and this is his way of giving back to them.
He needs to raise $1,000 for all the materials to make the beds, collars, and leashes and the timing is down to the wire.
He turns 18 on October 28th and needs to raise $1,000 quickly to pay for the materials to complete the project in time to earn his Eagle. Once he turns 18 his time is up to achieve the goal! Every dollar helps and we need to move fast. If we can order the supplies this week he still has time to complete the job to make and deliver these items to the dog rescue organization.

He will be making 25 welcome kits for newly adopted dogs to help ease the financial burdens for their new families which will include a dog bed, a collar, and a leash. The dog beds will be handmade by Ian and his team from fleece and memory foam. The collars and leashes are handmade by another Scout from St. Paul - an ambitious teen named Theo Capistrant who started their own company called Hey Dood Gear - rugged dog gear that is high quality, durable, and waterproof.

Thank you for your consideration to donate and help make this project happen. We hope to help Ruff Start Rescue ease the financial cost for families adopting rescue animals and find their forever homes. And if we are fast... Ian can earn the rank of Eagle Scout!
