Ian Frank - Tyler Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Ian Frank is one of my dearest friends - an artist, an activist, and above all else, a committed father.  He just lost his son Tyler to an ongoing battle with brain cancer.  Tyler was a bright young man who kept such positive energy, despite having been diagnosed with this brain tumor at just 11 years old.

To say Tyler was a fighter is an understatement.  Despite his prognosis, Tyler managed to live so fully, continuing to go to school, graduating from high school and even lettering in wrestling.

He also learned to share his father's passion for photography and photojournalism.  I had the honor of spending time with Ian and Tyler in NYC this past summer, as they went about the city taking beautiful photos.  (I would never have guessed that would be my last time seeing him.)  He will be so deeply missed.

In his last hours, Ian promised Tyler he was going to use Tyler's camera on his next photo shoot.  Tyler said he wanted full credit for every photo -- such humor and love for his father up until the very end.

As a parent, I can't begin to even imagine enduring years of chemo treatments, the hope of remission, or the depth of this tragic loss.  But I want to do something to help and ask you to join in contributing whatever you can.

The funds will go directly to Ian Frank and be used for any necessary memorial expenses and honoring Tyler's last wish to make his life matter through photography.

Thank you for you participating in honoring Tyler and supporting Ian during this difficult time.
