You know that feeling in the pit of your stomach when you can’t remember if you left the stove or your straightener or a candle on and you imagine how terrible it would be if you lost your entire apartment to a fire?
Our dear pals Ian and Ashley are facing that new reality after a fire started in the restaurant below their apartment. They were home when the fire broke out and were able to get out safe with their dog Maybe, but the home they have lived in for 2.5 years and all of their possessions were lost.
A situation like this makes you realize that the most important things in your life are not your things.
However, having clothing to wear and a bed to call your own, along with all of the other million little things we accumulate in our homes that help us feel safe and express ourselves or cook healthy food that sustains us while we are out in the world, all of these things cost money to replace
Please donate as much as you can spare to help these two kind, generous people who are facing this emotionally and financially draining new challenge.
