First off, I would like to say that the Lord has blessed us beyond measure and though we do need monitary provision, we would first like to ask for prayer. The Lord has always provided for us and we know He will do so this time as well.
Who am I? I am a wife to the most amazing husband, the mom of three precious little boys ages 1, 2.5, and 4 years, and a child of the Most High.
What's going on? About 10 years ago, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Over the last couple of years, my health has become progressively worse and I knew there had to be something else going on. In February of 2014, I resigned from my job and I was diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease in addition to Fibromyalgia. Since then, my health has been in rapid decline with an onset of debilitating lupus and arthritis symptoms ranging from open, bleeding sores to immobility of my fingers to widespread, excruciating muscle/joint pain. At this point I am taking an outragious amount of medicine (19+ pills) per day just to function enough to get by and we have had to hire a nanny as I can no longer take care of my children.
Opportunity: Recently, the Lord has opened a door regarding my health situation. I have been offered an opportunity to receive some medical treatments that could potentially cure me. It's a two step process that, though it has been done successfully around the world, has never been done on someone with my exact diagnosis.
These procedures are not approved by the FDA at this point, but because of the success that has been shown in Europe with these treatments, the FDA has decided to allow an *UNFUNDED Investigtor-led clinical trial (see bottom for explaination) to take place in the United States for the first of my two treatments. Doctors at UAB are/will be working alongside the team in Arkansas for following up and documenting my progress (*I will post the exact date as soon as I know).
The second part will be taking place six weeks later, outside the US. As you can imagine, this is a very expensive process. We are so grateful to be receiving a HUGE discount, but by putting all of our savings into it we can only cover approximately 1/4 of the cost of the medical treatment and travel expenses.
Our faith is definitely being stretched and we are excited to see how God works through this process. We know the Lord is faithful and this is an opportunity to see Him work and provide in miraculous ways.
Please join us in prayer as we enter this time of excitement and uncertainty. We are believing God will provide healing, finances, peace over our family and kids, and wisdom.

**Unfunded Investigator-led clinical trial= the patients must pay the cost, but it will be documented, scrutinized, and followed for potential use in helping others across the country in the future. This study will not be receiving any grants or funding from a university, the government, insurance company, or charity. Being unfunded allows the treatments/trials to take place MUCH sooner, so it is beneficial for getting quicker results, but the expense is covered by the participants.
