Strauss Family Fund

Family and friends, on Thanksgiving Day, my sister's husband, Ryan, was severely injured in a motorcycle accident near their home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona . He was airlifted to a hospital in Las Vegas where he was found to have fractured his L1 and L2 vertebrae. He sustained significant damage to his spinal cord. He has since had surgery to repair the fractures and mend the tears in his spinal cord and has now been transferred to Craig Hospital in Denver, Colorado for extensive and intensive rehabilitation. We are hopeful that his treatment will enable him to be mobile again but at this time there are no guarantees.

My sister, Sarah, is with him in Denver and will stay there for the duration of his rehabilitation. Their children will remain in Arizona with my mother and step-father because they are in school. 

Neither Sarah nor Ryan will be able to return to work for at least three months. They will have no income during this time and they will incur significant expenses in order for Sarah to support her husband as he recovers from this life changing injury.

I am asking for your generosity to help get them through this extremely difficult time. My sister is an amazing woman and one of my best friends. My brother-in-law is a dedicated family man. He is a good husband, father, son, friend. He has helped so many and now I'm hoping many will help him.
