Hello Friends, Family and Supporters of the Philippines,
This is a call to action so that the Philippinse can continue to experience our love, abundance and support. What can we raise for the Philippines in my final week in the USA?
Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan may not be on TV anymore but I am from the Philippines and I know first hand that people are still dealing with the impact of the storm in their lives. I want to make a difference with some of these people. To that end, I am going to the Philippines for a month to work with families in small towns to help them heal their lives.
I am collecting funds to personally deliver to the Philippines. I will be leaving on April 28th but I am hoping to collect all donations by April 20th. The money will go directly to what the locals say they need and I will update you all on the progress. EVERY GRAIN OF RICE counts...EVERY SINGLE PENNY...$35.00 can buy 100 pounds of rice or help repair a roof. We can make a dent as a community. Let's see how big a difference we can make together!
Donate and I will keep you updated and connected to the progress. I will show you photos of the faces of the people YOU are affecting. I am just going as the instrument because I cannot ignore the pull to go do work on the ground anymore. I actually can not physically stand ignoring my calling to go see what I can do back home. In Maryland, I am a social worker and I learned this kind of love and service from my birth place. I was born in Cebu, speak the language and was raised by the locals that are still there suffering day to day. My heart is Filipino and I need your help to make a larger impact in the place that created my humanity, shaped who I am today, my compassion and my love for the world.
