Prayers for Peyton
Donation protected
On Sunday, November 23,2014 at approximately 1030 p.m. my very dear friend Linda and cousin Stephen experienced every parents worst nightmare . Linda and Stephen were expecting their beautiful daughter Peyton on her way home, but instead they had 2 state troopers and 2 local policemen at their front door informing them that Peyton had been in a very serious car accident and was med flighted from the scene of the accident to Boston Medical Center. Despite having her seatbelt on she sustained a traumatic brain injury. This caused a very large bleed (subdural hemorrhage) and skull fractures which led to her needing a breathing tube and feeding tube placed . She has yet to open her beautiful eyes, but everyday she is that much closer to opening them. She is moving her arms and legs a little more each day. She has had several cat scans to evaluate her progress and is receiving the best care possible by a very dedicated team of doctors and nurses. She also has a very supportive family surrounding her and a mother who has not left her side. Peyton has several months of rehabilitation ahead of her and will need a tremendous amount of support emotionally and physically . Several friends and coworkers have asked what they can do to help Linda, Peyton and her family during this challenging time . A donation to Peyton through gofundme is a way you can help . I learned of gofundme.com through a similar experience another good friend of mine went through this past June (her daughter was also in a bad car accident with a head injury ..... I'm happy to say she is doing remarkably well ). The gofundme fundraising site made it possible for my friend to take care of her daughter while she was out of work and help pay medical bills. As we all know, life goes on and with the help of gofundme donations Linda can take the necessary time from work and focus on her daughters recovery. Linda is one of THE MOST GENUINE people around. She is a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and friend . She is first to help others when in need and it's our turn to help her and Peyton get through this very challenging and difficult time. I know Peyton will come through this stronger than ever because of the strength, love and support of her mother and wonderful family. Please continue to pray for Peyton while she recovers from this unforeseen accident. Thank you and God Bless you all !
