Hello. I am not big on asking for help and I am definitely not huge on asking for donations, but here is my story:
In 2000, I was at the height of my career, just purchased my first house and started showing faint signs of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Those of you that knew me back then would see me at the PHH company gym at around 6 am, or at the afternoon exercise class. In that decade, I was
big on riding 46 miles in the ACS bike-a-Thon, cardio kickboxing 4 days a week, going to CURVES, Royal Fitness gym for classes, walking 2 miles a night, etc.
Now, I go to the movies with friends in a wheelchair and a motorized scooter is utilized in place of walking.
My story is sad and I know that there is way worse than this and I help in those situations as much as I can. There are a few things that I want funds for:
1) A new and better scooter than what I have, the Maverick. It costs about $5,000.00 and it would make my life a lot easier to go bike riding or trick or treating with my 6 year old son.
2)To raise funds for my MS mudrun team which raises awareness and funds for research.
This disease is horrible and has taken a lot from me, a lot.
Any small amount helps.
